Tile flooring is durable, moisture resistant, and easy to maintain. It is an excellent choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways, offering a wide range of styles, sizes, and finishes for both functional and decorative applications. Our team installs tile in homes, offices, retail spaces and commercial properties across South Florida.

What Is Tile Flooring

Tile is a hard surface flooring made from fired clay or natural stone, set piece by piece into a bed of adhesive over a prepared subfloor, with the joints between pieces filled with grout.

The two most common types are ceramic and porcelain. Both are fired clay, but porcelain is fired at a higher temperature and is denser and less porous, which makes it harder and better suited to wet areas and heavy traffic. Natural stone such as travertine, marble or slate is a third option, valued for the fact that no two pieces look alike.

What sets tile apart from every other flooring type is that it is not affected by water. It does not swell, warp or absorb moisture, which is why it has been the standard choice in bathrooms and kitchens for generations, and why it performs so well in a humid climate.

Tile comes in a wide range of sizes, shapes and finishes, including planks that convincingly imitate wood, so the look is not limited to the traditional square format.

Why Choose Tile

Handles Water Without Compromise
Bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and entryways stay dry underneath, with no swelling, warping or moisture damage over time.

Extremely Durable
Tile resists scratches, dents and heavy foot traffic, and individual pieces can be replaced if one is ever damaged rather than redoing the whole floor.

The Widest Range of Styles
Sizes, shapes, colors and finishes cover everything from traditional stone looks to large format modern tile and wood look planks, so the floor can be functional and decorative at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

Flooring contractor Miami - REJP Flooring LLC

What is the difference between ceramic and porcelain tile?

Both are fired clay. Porcelain is fired at a higher temperature and is denser and less porous, which makes it harder and better suited to wet areas and high traffic. Ceramic is easier to cut and often more affordable. We go over both during your in home estimate.

Why does the subfloor matter so much with tile?

Tile is rigid and does not flex. If the surface underneath is uneven or unstable, tiles can crack or work loose over time. That is why the subfloor is inspected, leveled and prepared before any tile goes down.

Can tile be installed over a concrete slab?

Yes, and it is one of the most common installations in South Florida homes. The slab is inspected and prepared first, and any moisture or leveling issues are addressed as part of subfloor preparation.

What if one tile cracks later on?

Individual tiles can be removed and replaced without disturbing the rest of the floor. That is part of our flooring repairs service.

How much does tile installation cost?

The price depends on the size of the space, the tile you choose, the layout, and the condition of the subfloor. We come out, measure on site and give you a free in home estimate with no obligation.
